Ag at Home Project

Jasmine Fish is studying year 10 Agriculture and Horticulture, and has hand raised 10 beef cross calves on her parent’s property near Ballan. Due to COVID-19 restrictions her studies require an ‘Ag at Home Project’ through Ballarat Grammar.

Jasmine’s project is to split her ten calves where five will be weaned on certain quality of pasture and five solely on quality pellets and hay. Both groups would be weighed weekly, documenting her study over 50 days, then a further 100 days.

Jerem & Vincent from CJA delivered a 800KG bulker bag of V12 pellets for her to make a start on her project. Jerem helped with structuring weekly weight taking of both trial stock and assisted with the correct feeder settings.

It was wonderful to see Jasmine's enthusiasm for her project.
